Sky City Fire

1 week ago the sky city fire started A possibly
an apprentice is believed to have accidentally
left unattended the blowtorch that sparked
the devastating SkyCity fire, bringing central
Auckland to a standstill. At 12.30pm it started
black smoke came everywhere. Firefighting
bosses say investigations into the blaze at
SkyCity's $700 million Convention Centre
could take a couple of weeks to complete that's
a lot of money. SkyCity  people says it will carry
out a review of its management plan in the aftermath
of the fire.It comes as more SkyCity workers and
customers likes the company's performance.
One worker says it's silly they were told to
start work at 4o’clock, more than two hours after
the fire started. Sky City accepts there was
smoke on the site but it says its Health and
Safety team carried out regular checks.
