What are the different types of adverts?
What do they do?
Humour: Makes us laugh so when we think about buying the product,
we get a good feeling and want to get? happy

Bandwagon : Join the crowd. Everyone is buying it/using it/doing it?

Testimonial: A famous person claims the product is good? commenting

Image Advertising: A product is associated with certain people,places
, activities.? Word cloud/plan

Weasel: A promise is made using words like “usually” or “chances are”
?a small, slender carnivorous mammal related to, but smaller than, the stoat.

Omission: Facts about the product are not told to us? fingers crossed

Repetition: Saying it again and again? you will not do

Scale: Making a product bigger or smaller? size

Association: Promising adventure and quality if you buy the product?

Name-calling: Making the product seem better than other ones
by calling them unpopular names?calling names

New: The product is better than all the other ones because
it is BRAND NEW? new gift

Warm and Fuzzy: Uses pictures of kids, families and animals
to make us feel good and comfortable. It may have soothing
music and use words like ‘cute’ and ‘cuddly’? fluffy jackets

Fear: The ad shows us what could happen if we don’t use their
product. It shows problems like ‘bad teeth’ or ‘sore back’ that their
product can fix?scary
